Processing of personal data is everything that Elekta Foundation does with the personal data, such as fundraising, registering, organizing, structuring, saving,processingor changing,compilation, reading, using, sharing,spreading, correcting or gathering, limiting, deleting or destroying.

We only register personal data that is needed for us to carry out our work, and when we can clearly motivate the need to use the data.
The personal data you provide is recorded in our database and we use it to administer your donation or participation in events and activities and to keep statistics. We may supplement the personal data by obtaining information from private and public records and sources to ensure that we target relevant communications to the relevant person. The data may also be used for marketing purposes to analyze the donations you make, when we tell you more about our operations via letters, e-mails, publications or telephone, for targeted communication to customized audiences on social media (eg. LinkedIn, Xand Instagram) and for monitoring and developing the activities of the Elekta Foundation. When you apply for a position as an ambassador or similar, we will only use your personal data for the purpose for which you provided it, but interesting applications may be saved even after the position has been filled. You have the right to request rectification of your personal data if it is inaccurate. This also means that you have the right to supplement any missing personal data that is relevant to the purpose of the personal data processing.

Elekta Foundation will not sell or otherwise disclose personal data about you except as described here or at the time of collection. When you register for events, your personal data may be visible to other members on, for example, participant lists and is handled by the person or party organizing the activity. When taking photographs in connection with activities for publication on the web or social media, special consent may be requested.
Elekta Foundation retains personal data we obtain about you as long as (1) it is needed for the purposes for which we obtained it, in accordance with this Privacy Notice, or (2) we have another lawful basis, stated in this Privacy Notice or at the point of collection, for retaining that data for a longer time period. As a general rule, we make every effort to retire this data within twenty-four (24) months of collection.
