Cornerstone of cancer treatment

Radiotherapy is a cornerstone of cancer treatment, yet many low-income countries face a severe shortage of trained professionals, limiting access to life-saving care. Empowering radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and radiation therapists with the knowledge and practical skills to provide high-quality care is essential. Additionally, as new treatment technologies become available, these professionals need opportunities to learn and adapt to deliver the best possible care to their patients.

The Elekta Foundation Model

Since 2022, the Elekta Foundation has collaborated with esteemed learning partners to offer free digital courses to clinicians in low- and middle-income countries. Over 6,500 radiotherapy professionals have enhanced their skills through our programs, benefiting more than 1.5 million cancer patients globally. By addressing the radiotherapy knowledge gap, we’re creating scalable, sustainable solutions to improve cancer care worldwide.
